About RSS Feeds

A feed allows Feed Readers to access a site automatically and looks for new content and then posts the information about new content and updates to another site. This allows people to keep updated on the latest information posted on blogging site.

When you come across a website you would like to add to your Feed Reader, you can do so in a couple of ways. Most sites offer an RSS feed have an “RSS” or “XML” button on their homepage that you can click on and it will instantly add that feed to your Feed Reader. Depending on your Feed Reader, you may need to copy and paste the URL of the feed into the program.

Some popular Feed Readers: On the web: My Yahoo!, Google Personalized Homepage, My MSN, My AOL, NewsGator Online. On your computer: Firefox, Internet Explorer 7, Safari, FeedDemon, NewsGator for Microsoft Outlook.
